Our retreat begins in Dubrovnik and ends in Split. We strongly suggest that you book your arrival flight into Dubrovnik International Airport (airport code: DBV) to arrive midday on September 14th. Book your departure flight out of Split Airport (SPU) to depart midday on September 21st. Airport transfers are included in the price of your trip and will be coordinate on your behalf so long as you book into Dubrovnik, and out of Split.
Croatia is a land of diverse landscapes, rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking coastal scenery. Located in southeastern Europe along the Adriatic Sea, Croatia boasts a unique blend of Mediterranean and Central European influences, making it a captivating destination to retreat. Our journey will take you along the Dalmatian Coast, to the historic towns of Dubrovnik, Split, and Hvar, where ancient walls encircle charming old towns, and cobblestone streets lead to hidden squares filled with lively cafes and markets. Whether you’re seeking relaxation on pristine beaches, exploring ancient history, indulging in local delicacies, or embracing the wonders of nature, this Adriatic gem has something for everyone.
American citizen visitors to Croatia do not need a visa if they are traveling as a tourist with a valid U.S. passport. You will be issued a tourist card upon entry which is valid for up to 90 days.
Note: Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your date of arrival.
We will be staying at three different 5-star hotels, each perfectly located for us to explore the best that Croatia has to offer. Each of the hotels we have selected offers incredible Dalmatian coastal views and contemporary rooms with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay.
Attendance varies from trip to trip, but 15-25 attendees is a general average.
Tea, coffee, and fruit will be provided before practice each morning. Breakfast is included in the price of the trip as well as a welcome dinner and farewell dinner and additional dinner mid-week as well as three lunches. There will be plenty of local options and recommendations will be provided by our guide for the lunches and dinners that are not included in the price of the trip.
We love to welcome solo travelers on our retreats! Most solo travelers prefer to book a single room, however if you prefer to share a room, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If we are unable to find you a roommate however, we will need to charge you a discounted single supplement fee of $500. You will be notified 2 to 3 weeks prior to the start of the retreat if we haven't been able to match you with a roommate and we will send you an updated invoice at that time.
Gratuities are not included in the price of your trip. Service charge is included in all restaurants-bars etc, however if you receive exceptional service by staff, housekeeping or other employees helping you throughout the week then an additional tip is always appreciated. We suggest a budget of around $5-$10/day per guest.
International Yoga strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. A personal, political, environmental, health or weather-related incident may arise that can prevent or interrupt your travels. Note that if you elect to not purchase travel insurance you will be assuming 100% of any costs associated with the cancellation/ interruption of your retreat.
As International Yoga cannot advise on specific travel insurance plans, we recommend the reputable travel insurance aggregator InsureMyTrip. They will provide personalized support in selecting a travel insurance provider and policy that works best for your specific needs. Note that most travel insurance providers require that you purchase coverage within 7 to 10 days of your initial booking.
A non-refundable $1000 deposit is required to hold your spot on the trip. If you cancel prior to the final balance deadline, June 6, 2024, we will refund any payments you've made minus the non-refundable deposit. All payments are non-refundable after June 6, 2024. International Yoga must strictly adhere to its cancellation policy to offset costs incurred prior to the commencement of the retreat. Click here to view the Terms and Conditions which you agreed to upon registration. We strongly suggest purchasing 'Cancel For Any Reason' travel insurance to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. A personal, political, environmental, health, or weather-related incident or pre-existing medical condition may prevent or interrupt your travels. Should you elect to not purchase travel insurance, you will be assuming 100% of any costs incurred for trip cancellation or trip interruption.
