Puglia Paradise

Puglia Paradise

Picture this, in your post-savasana euphoria, you sit beneath a fig tree, looking out at the 130 hectares of olive groves and vineyards that gently roll towards the Ionia Sea. You're on a 16-century family-owned masseria (historic farmhouse) and it's your home for the week. Our unique property isn't found on any online vacation websites, this Puglia paradise is a word-of-mouth-only hidden gem, and you're starring in your own Italian fantasy.

Puglia, in the heel of Italy's boot, is a unique mix of nature, archeology, history, and farm-to-table deliciousness. Our outings include Ostuni, known for its whitewashed old town and Romanesque and Byzantine elements. Alberobello is a small town and commune famous for its UNESCO World Heritage trullo buildings. The baroque architecture and rich history of Lecce, and Polignano a Mare, known for its white pebble beaches.

Daily yoga with Andrea and fresh, locally sourced meals prepared with love by the house chef complete this fairytale adventure you don't want to miss.

FAQ

What airport do I fly into?

You will book your international ticket into and out of Brindisi Salento Airport (BDS).

What are the accommodations like?

Our boutique hotel, nestled in the heart of Puglia near Manduria, is a beautifully restored 16th-century farmhouse offering an immersive experience of Italian countryside charm. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, this family-owned retreat features spacious rooms adorned with antique furnishings, blending rustic elegance with modern comfort. Guests can enjoy farm-to-table dining, savoring organic produce from the estate’s gardens, or relax by the serene pool. With its whitewashed architecture, fragrant citrus trees, and warm hospitality, the hotel captures the essence of southern Italian luxury and authenticity.

Do I need a Visa to visit Italy?

The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) is a new visa waiver program set to launch in 2025. Travelers from visa-exempt countries, including the U.S., who travel to countries within the Schengen Area will need to obtain an online travel authorization. For more information and to stay up to date on the ETIAS program, please visit their website.

Are airport transfers included?

One group airport transfer will be provided on the first day and the last day of the retreat. Exact details will be provided after registration.

What if I am traveling alone?

We love solo-travelers and we have hundreds join us every year on retreat! If you prefer to share your room and are traveling alone, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If we are not able to find you a roommate for the room category you initially booked, we may need to move you to an alternate rooming type. In some cases, a discounted single supplement fee may need to be applied to your invoice. We will communicate this directly to you via email prior to your departure.

Are gratuities included?

Gratuities are not included in the price of your trip. Gratuities are shared by staff, housekeeping or other employees helping you throughout the week then an additional tip is always appreciated. We suggest a budget of around $10/day per guest.

How many people are expected on this retreat?

Attendance varies from trip to trip, but 15-25 attendees is a general average.

Are meals included?

All breakfasts and dinners, as well as some lunches are included. The restaurant at our boutique hotel has a “field to fork” approach, showcasing the best of Pugliese traditional cuisine with a twist. Sourcing her ingredients from the surrounding fields, local farms, and the onsite gardens, the menu highlights the abundance and the excellence of the local products.

Do I need travel insurance?

International Yoga strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. A personal, political, environmental, health, or weather-related incident may arise that can prevent or interrupt your travels. If you do not purchase travel insurance you will be assuming 100% of any costs associated with the cancellation/ interruption of your retreat. While we cannot advise on specific travel insurance policies, we recommend looking at plans through the reputable travel insurance provider, Travelex. The FAQ section at the bottom of their website is quite helpful, and they have a number you can call as well. Note that to guarantee maximum coverage, most travel insurance providers require that you obtain a policy within 10 - 15 days of placing your initial deposit.

If you do not complete the payment on your own by that date, the card on file will be automatically charged your remaining balance. If you register for the trip after July 1, 2025. the full amount is due at sign-up. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable after July 1, 2025. International Yoga must strictly adhere to its cancellation policy to offset costs incurred before the commencement of the retreat. Click here to view the Terms and Conditions to which you agree upon registration.
