RETREAT TO INDIA WITH ANNIE CARPENTER
JANUARY 21 - 28, 2010

Making the pilgrimage to India, is a dream all of us who have committed to the practice of yoga hold in our hearts. Join Annie, on retreat for the perfect mix of what a retreat to India can offer: deep yoga practice twice daily, a rejuvenating week at a top-rated Ayurvedic resort, followed by visits to India’s essential sites.

We begin in Kerala, “the land of coconuts,” where each of you will have a personal consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor for a recommended course of treatment. The resort has quaint individual cottages scattered over the lush green hills, overlooking the expansive white sand beach and Indian Ocean. Healthy, fresh meals are prepared for each individual’s dosha (constitution), and treatments are available based on your needs. Teachings on Ayurveda and herbs will be offered.

Optional Add-On to your trip:

Next we’ll float down the serene backwaters of Kerala, on an overnight houseboat. Then to Delhi, an incredible mix of old and new, where every religion finds expression. The majestic Taj Mahal calls us next: the incomparable and inspiring memorial to love. We’ll finish our journey in the ancient city of sacred light, Varanasi, the religious center for the Hindu religion. This venerable pilgrimage site features numerous ghats and temples along the holiest of rivers, Ganga.
